Hot tub questions

Chlorine or bromine: which should I use?

Both keep hot tub water safe. Chlorine works fast and is easy to dose after each soak; bromine holds up a bit better in hot water. Pick one and stick with it. Read the full comparison.

How often should I shock?

Once a week, and after a party or heavy use. How to shock a hot tub.

Why is my water cloudy?

Usually low sanitizer, high pH or alkalinity, a dirty filter, or oils building up. Test, balance, shock and clean the filter, then use a clarifier. Full fix list.

How often should I drain and refill?

Every three to four months for most hot tubs, sooner with heavy use. Step-by-step drain and refill.
